Millitec Food Systems Ltd is a world leader in the design and technology of machinery for high care environments. With a speciality in food production equipment, Millitec manufacture mixers, ultrasonic cutters, depositors, butterers, sanitisers and production conveyors.
In 2019, Invest in Derbyshire supported Millitec to set up in Derbyshire. The inward investment assistance provided included access to grant funding and ongoing support in identifying skills providers for its workforce and recruitment opportunities.
Millitec has invested £1.2 million and will create in the region of 40 new jobs in total. Their new 20,000 sq ft factory in Draycott, Derbyshire boasts a dedicated design studio with state-of-the-art design equipment, 3D print studio, robotics lab, clean room, CNC machine shop, blast room and state-of-the-art laser cutting machinery.
We’re thrilled to be moving to our new site in Draycott. The Invest in Derbyshire service helped us secure funding via University of Derby’s ‘Invest to Grow’ programme which was vital in supporting bringing the site in line with our requirements for our ongoing expansion plans in the region.
We have invested in the highest specification equipment including ultra-precise laser cutting machinery and an all-new machining facility. This will allow us to grow rapidly across the next three years..
